Terms of service

Last updated November 6, 2026. This is a plain-language draft.

1. Who we are

Tantito ("we", "us") is a software studio. These terms apply when you request a quote or hire us. You can reach us at hello@tantito.dev.

2. How a project starts

You describe your project, and we send a written quote with the scope, a fixed price and a delivery date. A project starts when you accept the quote in writing and the deposit has cleared. If this page and your accepted quote disagree, the quote governs.

3. Price and payment

The price on your quote is fixed. Changes outside the agreed scope are quoted in writing before any work on them starts. Payment schedule:

  • Under $3,000: 50% deposit to start, 50% when you accept the delivery.
  • $3,000 and up: 30% deposit, 40% at the staging demo, 30% at launch.

Prices are in USD. Hosting, domains and fees charged by third-party services (payment processors, AI model providers and similar) are paid by you directly to those providers.

4. Our guarantees

  • Working preview in 5 business days. You see a working preview of your project within 5 business days of the deposit, or you get the deposit back.
  • Fixed price. The number on the quote is the number you pay. Changes are quoted in writing before any work starts.
  • Your code from day one. Everything lives in a private repository in your own GitHub account and deploys to your own hosting account.
  • 30-day bug warranty. Anything that does not work as specified in the 30 days after launch gets fixed at no cost.

The conditions that apply to each one are on the guarantee page and form part of these terms.

5. Ownership

The work is built in your accounts. Once the invoices for a deliverable are paid, you own the code and other materials we create specifically for you. We keep ownership of our general tools, methods and know-how, and of open-source software, which stays under its own license.

6. What we need from you

You provide timely answers, content, logins and approvals named in the scope. Delays on these can move the delivery date. You confirm you have the right to any materials you give us.

7. Revisions and warranty

Packages include the revision rounds listed on the pricing page. For 30 days after launch we fix, at no cost, anything that does not work as specified in the written scope. The warranty does not cover changes made by others to the code, third-party service changes, or new requests.

8. AI-assisted work

We use AI tools to help build your project. A human engineer reviews each delivery. We do not put your confidential materials into tools that train on customer data.

9. Case studies and founding clients

We publish a case study about your project only with your written permission. Founding clients agree to the case study and review terms described on the founding clients page. The discount does not depend on the content of any review.

10. Confidentiality

We keep your non-public business information confidential and use it only to deliver your project.

11. Liability

We are responsible for delivering what the quote describes. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim related to a project is limited to the amount you paid us for that project, and we are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profit. Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

12. Ending a project

Either of us can end a project in writing. You pay for work completed up to that point, and you keep the code and materials made so far. If we miss the 5-business-day preview under the conditions on the guarantee page, the deposit is refunded.

13. Law and disputes

The governing law and place for resolving disputes are stated in your accepted quote. We will always try to settle a problem by talking first.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. A project is governed by the version in force when you accepted its quote.
